THE KEYS TO KELLY
BFA Senior Project
In the fall of 2021, Matt created "The Keys to Kelly" –his BFA Senior Project analyzing the movement style of the iconic Gene Kelly. Presented in historical documentary format, directed / produced /edited by Matt, he examines and recreates 3 of Gene's signature tap numbers.
SUMMER STOCK 2021
Surflight Theatre (Beach Haven, NJ)
In the summer of 2021, Matt completed a Summer Stock contract at Surflight Theatre on Long Beach Island performing as Mike Costa in A Chorus Line (Original Choreography) as well as in the ensemble of Annie. Additionally, he was featured in The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Peter Pan.
MTI SEMI-FINALIST
Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Fest.
In February of 2021, Matt competed and placed as a Semi-Finalist in the Kennedy Center's Musical Theatre Initiative for Region IV (Southeast). As one of 21 Semi-Finalists in an 11 state region, Matt workshopped and received feedback on his piece throughout the entirety of the conference from industry pros and nationally-recognized faculty.

JOE GLOVER SCHOLARSHIP

In April of 2020, Matt was honored to receive the Joe Glover Scholarship for Excellence in Musical Theatre. Joe Glover, the University of Florida Provost, funds a scholarship given to one BFA Musical Theatre student every year.

Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre
In the summer of 2020, Matt would've been performing out west in Logan, UT with friend & fellow UF MT, Kayelin Leon, as part of the ensembles of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Sweeney Todd and understudying the role of Arpad in She Loves Me.
FL COMEDY FILM FEST.
Best Actor
In the spring of 2020, Matt earned Best Actor in a Florida Film at the Florida Comedy Film Festival for his portrayal of Paul in the musical short, The Right Swipe. Directed by Audrey Ellen Shaw and written/produced by Emily Netburn, The Right Swipe filmed in early 2019.
SIR·KUS
ASM
In the spring of 2020, Matt made his technical debut as an ASM for the BFA Dance department's original production, entitled Sir·kus. Directed and choreographed by Dante Puleio and Elizabeth Johnson, Sir·kus ran from February 7th – 16th.
PIPPIN
Pippin u/s, Manson Trio
In the fall of 2019, Matt ended his run of Pippin at the University of Florida as a member of "The Tribe." Directed and choreographed by Andrew Cao, Pippin ran from October 18th – 27th.
STUDY ABROAD
UF Center for Arts in Medicine
In the summer of 2019, Matt had the privilege of studying abroad in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He engaged with the local community in the collaborative process of creating devised theatre!
HAIRSPRAY
Corny Collins u/s, Sketch
In the fall of 2018, Matt concluded his sold-out run of Hairspray at the University of Florida dancing his heart out on the Corny Collins show! Directed by Tony Mata and choreographed by Andrew Cao, Hairspray ran from October 19th – 28th.
